July nights: what's on across India's metros this monsoon
Mumbai to Bengaluru to Delhi — a city-by-city look at where to be on a rainy July weekend.
Monsoon or not, India's big cities keep the weekend alive through July — you just have to know where to look. Here's a city-by-city read on the indoor season at its peak.
Mumbai
The country's deepest club calendar barely blinks at the rain. Lower Parel and Bandra keep the weekends stacked with touring selectors and resident nights, and the covered rooftops turn the monsoon skyline into a feature. Mumbai is the safest bet for a guaranteed great July night.
Bengaluru
The underground and microbrewery scenes are made for this weather — intimate rooms, craft beer, live music and house-and-techno nights for the city's famously discerning crowd. Monsoon Bengaluru is cosy and consistently excellent.
Delhi-NCR
The big indoor venues in Gurugram and central Delhi carry the season with commercial and electronic programming. Pick a covered venue and the rain won't touch your night.
The rest
Hyderabad and Pune keep their weekend rooms busy, and Goa offers its moody, uncrowded off-season for the adventurous. Wherever you are, July rewards the crowd that shows up rain or shine — and that crowd always has the better night.
