Bagore Ki Haveli

Standing right on the water at Gangaur Ghat, Bagore Ki Haveli is a sprawling 18th-century mansion of over a hundred rooms, now restored as a museum of Mewari life. Its courtyards, balconies and chambers are filled with period costumes, jewellery, utensils, puppets and even a famous display of turbans.

But its real draw is the evening: the haveli's courtyard hosts the Dharohar folk dance show, one of the best cultural performances in the city — a whirl of Rajasthani music, puppetry, and the astonishing Bhavai dance, where women balance stacks of pots on their heads.
