Radiating from the Charminar, Laad Bazaar is one of Hyderabad's oldest and most colourful markets — a centuries-old bazaar most famous for its glittering lacquer bangles studded with stones, a must-buy for brides across the region. The lanes glow with colour and sparkle.

Beyond bangles, the market overflows with pearls (Hyderabad is India's pearl capital), bridal finery, perfumes, fabrics and traditional jewellery. Shopping here, in the shadow of the Charminar, is a feast for the senses.

Don't miss

  • The signature lacquer-and-stone bangles.
  • Hyderabadi pearls and traditional jewellery.
  • The bridal wear, perfumes and old-city atmosphere.

Good to know

Bargaining is expected. The lanes are narrow and crowded — go on foot and mind your belongings. Best combined with a Charminar visit and a biryani stop.
