In the heart of Mysuru, the Devaraja Market has been trading for well over a century — a bustling, photogenic bazaar under a warren of stalls piled high with pyramids of kumkum powder, mounds of fragrant flowers, fresh fruit and vegetables, spices, and the region's celebrated sandalwood products and incense.

It's a feast for the senses and a wonderful window into everyday Mysuru life, with vendors happy to pose amid their colourful wares. A great place to buy incense, sandalwood soap and spices to take home.

Don't miss

  • The dazzling flower and kumkum stalls.
  • Mysuru sandalwood products, incense and spices.
  • The fresh-fruit and produce sections.

Good to know
